Millet’s Birthplace at Gruchy, 1863, by Jean-Francois Millet, French, 1814-1875. The house was in Gruchy, Greville-Hague, Normandy, and looks like an interesting place to grow up.
Millet was of the Realism school of painting and influential to other artists including Vincent van Gogh. Many of his works were genre and scenes of rural France.
